RESIDENCY APPLICATION

L’Alba welcomes artists eager to develop a unique artistic practice, rooted in their own artistic language but also connected to other disciplines. We place particular emphasis on multidisciplinary approaches where different art forms intersect: music, visual arts, writing, performance, movement…

Each residency is conceived as a period of work, exploration, and transformation.

The artist is invited to make the space their own, to immerse themselves in it, and to experiment freely, while engaging in dialogue with the team and, from time to time, with the public.

Eligibility

Residencies are primarily intended for artists from the Wallonia-Brussels Federation.

We prioritize  

    • original projects currently in development
    • a multidisciplinary approach
    • a genuine commitment to research and experimentation

The residency includes

    • a workspace within the house
    • access to various spaces (living rooms, exhibition hall, club) according to the project’s needs
    • on-site accommodation if needed, subject to availability and the venue’s constraints

Presentation

Each residency culminates in a presentation, which can take any form: a public presentation, a performance, an installation, an open process, etc.
L’Alba encourages simple and sincere moments of connection with the public, in keeping with the spirit of the venue.
