Inside/outside, the intimacy of thread.Looking out of the window, the "lady's work" of bygone days...
Students in the textile design workshop at the Académie des Beaux-Arts in Charleroi are invited to look through the windows of women's intimacy.
At l'Alba, we are liberating singular languages as artistic expressions through yarn. Take your place with respect, in this listed house, and let the intimate atmosphere soar. From embroidered words to woven links, from lacerated wounds to clenched silks. Questioning the place of women in art or the place they carve out for themselves.
Inside/outside... What space do we give them? How does the other take their place? What is the path through which time passes? What works will emerge from this journey, where it all begins? Inside/outside... The blank page where everything has yet to be written, where everything can still be dreamt.
